1. Definitions
  • Booking / Reservation: Whenever a Hirer follows a procedure as laid down on the website and by agreeing to the terms and conditions here in appearing, he is said to have made a valid booking / reservation of the service provided by the salik.qa.
  • "Hirer" represents (Renter, Driver, Customer, Client, Leaser) shall mean and include any Person who takes a vehicle from salik.qa on rent for driving by himself and is bound by the terms and conditions mentioned here in below and the relevant law of the State of Qatar.
  • "Person" means and includes any individual, company, partnership, trust, sole proprietorship or association or body of persons, whether incorporated or not.
  • "Rental" shall mean the entire course of taking/using a vehicle from salik.qa on rent and shall include without limitation the entire period between the date shown on rental agreement/form or handing over the vehicle's key to Hirer whichever is earlier and returning, by Hirer the vehicle in good condition as received along with all its parts, accessories and other property given to the Hirer by salik.qa, and continues till the full and final payment by the Hirer.
  • "Vehicle" means the Vehicle described in the Rental Agreement that has been rented or agreed to be rented by any Person (or any substitute vehicle), and includes its parts, components, accessories and contents supplied by salik.qa.
2. Making Bookings
  • If you wish to make bookings, we may ask you to supply certain data applicable to your booking including, without limitation, credit card information and other personally identifiable data about you. You agree that all data that you provide for this purpose will be accurate, current and complete. You agree to pay all charges incurred by your credit card or other payment mechanism at the rate(s) or price(s) in effect when such charges are incurred.
  • Verification of submitted data may be required prior to our acceptance of any booking. Except as otherwise required by law or as otherwise expressly stated by us, price, rate and availability of Vehicles are subject to change without notice.
3. Insurance
  • Comprehensive insurance is provided subject to current Qatar Law. The Hirer is liable for the Insurance Excess of QR [750- 5000] - varies per car category - Excess amount for Small QR 750 - 1500, Sedans QR 1500 - 2500, SUV QR 2000 - 5000, Luxury Cars will have min Excess of QR 2500, Against claims resulting from each and every accident including (hit-and-run) reporting you at fault (as evidenced by a Police report). A Fixed Admin service Fee of min QR 75/- to max QR 500 will be charged as per the car model.
  • Hirer/Renter will not do anything that may prejudice any warranty or Maintenance contract given by the manufacturer of the vehicle.
  • The Hirer shall not act in any way that would invalidate the risk or increase the cost of insurance in respect of the vehicle. In the event of breach of this clause the hirer is liable to pay the company for all loss, damage, costs and expenses which arises therein.
4. Kilometers Driven
  • Kilometers are limited to 250km per day, 1500km per week & 3000km to 5000 km per month depending upon the car selected and for Price Lock Option i.e. more than 1 month booking it will be 3000km per month or can offer Unlimited Mileage on selected Rentals, where total additional kilometers including any replacement car provided under the agreement will be charged @QR 0.5 Per Km to QR 10/- Per Km, varies by vehicle's group and category.
5. Maintenance
  • It includes routine servicing at 1,500 Km (1st Service), oil change at every 5,000 Km, and major servicing at every 10,000 Km or at every six months whichever comes first.
  • The Company will arrange for regular maintenance in respect of the vehicle with the vehicle manufacturer's, Franchised Dealers or authorized repairers in accordance with the manufacturers’ recommendations and any manufacturer warranty. The customer shall not have the vehicle services, maintained, repaired with any other third parties.
  • All luxury Cars Needs to be serviced with regular intervals. Unless the car issues a service warning. It’s the responsibility of the renter / driver to notify salik.qa on the same immediately.
6. Replacement Vehicle/s
  • In the event of routine service and maintenance, a replacement vehicle nearest in size and amenities to the hired one, as is possible, will be provided at no extra cost.
7. Accidents
  • In the event of any damage or accident to the car, police must be called before the vehicle is moved and a police report and a repair slip must be obtained. Should these documents failed to be obtained, then the Hirer is responsible for all damages incurred. The obtaining of these documents will be the responsibility of the Hirer. In any case, the communication between the Hirer and Salik shall be via the Email addresses of both Parties or via text messages.
8. Traffic Violations & Toll Fee (If Applicable)
  • All costs incurred as a result of Fines or Toll Fee (If Applicable) or other Penalties (imposed by traffic police or any other legal authorities) taking place during the Rental usage will be Hirer's / Renters responsibility and would be recovered accordingly. Company reserves the right to charge the debit/credit card to cover the above said given rental and non-rental charges.
  • There will be a Flat Fee of QR 50 for fines below QR 350 and Flat 15% for fines above QR 350.
  • In the event of traffic violation where car impound fine is imposed the total amount of such a fine + the service fee will be charged & paid direct to the Authority. In case of black points, where the renter is required to visit the police station - it is the renter’s responsibility to visit the police station and complete the process. Failing to do so with 2 days from the date of receiving the details salik.qa will charge QR100 per day as late fine. Also, in the event where Black points and Car impound is filed salik.qa reserves the right to discontinue the agreement with immediate effect & or force collect the car to safeguard its assets. Service continuity is a sole discretion of salik.qa.
  • In any case, the communication between the Hirer and Salik shall be via the Email addresses of both Parties or via text messages.
9. Water, Oil & Tire Pressure
  • It is the responsibility of the hirer to check water and oil levels as well as tires pressure from time to time and keep it maintained at such levels as is expected as per the make of the car. Any kind of Damage or Puncture to the tire will be billed to Hirer's / Renters, any change in the same needs to be as per the OEM brand, make and specification only.
10. Vehicle Condition & Tinting Glass
  • The Hirer must keep the hired vehicle in a clean, safe, and sound condition. Otherwise, charges may be applied
  • Tinting of vehicle's window glass is not permitted for rented vehicles; a fine of QR10,000/- would be imposed on violators/offenders who would be held responsible for the same.
11. Vehicle check-in
  • Hirer must inform Salik.qa, before hiring, of his intention to return the vehicle at another premise and must define the date and time otherwise excess days' charge shall be imposed on him. Any Change in return location other than the location selected at the time of the start of the rentals will be a chargeable service.
  • At the time of vehicle's off-hire, the cost of any un-reported damage/s as well as damages with no police report/s, would be fully charged to hirer's credit/ Debit Card.
12. Driving License
  • Qatar Driving license is a must for all residents, while international driving license is required for visitors. Driver’s License needs to be min of 6 months old. If not, the renter would be liable for 10% of the total damage cost + insurance excess.
13. Payment & Deposit
  • Payment terms are negotiated at the time of Rental where credit card / Debit Cards payments are accepted. Rental charges will be collected in advance only and a pre-authorization / Charged for security deposit is applicable.
  • Security Deposit: Will be pre-Auth / charged 24- 48hrs before the start date of the rentals.
  • Note: The Renter needs to be the Credit Card Holder or the Card Holder and the Renter needs to be present at the time for collection of the car at the rental counter or Delivery to sign the agreement. In the event the card holder policy is not fulfilled, the Reservation will be canceled and 10% Admin Charge will be applicable and the remaining amount will be refunded.
  • The renter needs to have sufficient credit limit to cover min Deposit amount of QR 1500/- to QR 7500 *(Depending on the Car Model Leased / Rented) that will be (Pre-Auth / Charged) on Hirer's credit / debit card to cover possible traffic fines, minor damage to vehicle (in so far as the amount covers the repair charges, otherwise the balance will be billed to hirer's account); the balance will be released in 30 working days. It is the Renter’s responsibility to claim the deposit / balance amount within 60 days from the close of the agreement. After the date on which hirer hands-over the vehicle in good and sound condition as specified above, as long as no Traffic Fine/s gets recorded on hirer's Rental. Salik.qa is not responsible for any difference between the amount blocked & the amount released resulting from the fluctuation of foreign exchange rates and other possible banking charges.
  • After Successful Booking, an E-ticket will be sent by Email to registered email id and SMS will be received to registered Mobile No. as Payment Confirmation.
  • The Hirer shall not refund or claim the security or guarantee deposit unless 27 days shall lapsed from the date of delivery of the vehicle.
14. Extension
  • In case the Extension are not made within 3 days of the expire of the car rental agreement or return date, Salik.qa reserves the right to auto extend your current car rental agreement as per the Billing Cycle - Daily | Weekly | Monthly. In the event of monthly billing cycle an auto extension will be made for a min 30 days (As per as on date rentals rates as applicable on the website) and process the payment. No Claims thereafter will be accepted or Refunds will be processed for early return of the car.
15. Delivery / Collection of vehicle
  • Delivery / Collection of vehicle is chargeable and varies according to distance to a minimum charge of QR.30/- each way.
  • Prior to returning the vehicle (Actual Rented Car / Replacement Car), the Renter shall ensure that the vehicle is clean, free from all personal belongings and waste materials and has to return the car with at actual fuel as received.
  • If the returned vehicle contains Renter’s belongings, the same will be kept in the lost and found department and the customer is liable to collect the same within 7 days from the date of such an event. Hence, the company do not stand liable towards any losses incurred from the same and would not accept any compensation claims.
16. Driving outside Qatar & Off-Road Driving
  • Our vehicles are not permitted to be driven outside Qatar
  • In the event of breakdown/accident, Hirer is responsible to bring the vehicle to Salik Co. at his/its own costs.
  • Our vehicles are not permitted to be used for Safari / Fun-drive / Race / Off roading / Advertising / Hiring / Leasing / Sub Leasing / Contracting / 3rd party Contracting and mobility services / Loans / Use for Loan Security / Financial Rewards. The Hirer will be held liable to pay all damages, necessary repairs & towing charges if he failed to adhere with the same.
  • In any case, the communication between the Hirer and Salik shall be via the Email addresses of both Parties or via text messages.
17. Usage of Vehicles
  • Hirer undertakes that neither he nor any of the listed additional drivers will use the vehicle in, Pushing, Pulling or Towing objects, Races & Fun Drive, Rough Roads & desert Safaris, teach Driving, rent the vehicle without Salik.qa permission. Hirers that fail to adhere to the same will be held responsible & liable for all charges resulting from damages, penalties, fines & other dues.
  • The renter agrees to disclose the location of the vehicle upon request and allow the company or its representatives to inspect the vehicle at all reasonable times and for that purpose to allow entry into any land /premise where the vehicle is located.
18. Minor Not allowed to be a user
  • Use of website and services of booking / rental / driving of Salik.qa is available only to persons who are above the age of 23 years and max 65 years and can form a legally binding contract under the local Law. If you are a minor i.e., under the age of majority specified by Law of the State of Qatar, you may use https://www.salik.qa only through a parent or guardian, but you are not permitted to subscribe to the services yourself by using the website.
  • We will accept following currency towards payment: QR and USD only
  • The Hirer must maintain a copy of transaction records and other relevant policies and rules.
19. Disclaimers
  • The information contained in this website is for general information purposes only. This website, the site materials, and any product or service obtained through or in connection with this website is provided by Salik.qa and while we endeavor to keep the information up to date and correct, it is on an "as is" and "as available" basis without representations or warranties of any kind, either express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the website or the information, products, services, or related graphics contained on the website for any purpose, unless otherwise expressly provided in a written agreement with us to which you are a party with regard to a particular product or service. To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, we and our affiliates, licensees, suppliers, advertisers, and agents disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of title, merchant ability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, unless otherwise expressly provided in a written, agreement with us to which you are a party with regard to a particular product or service. 20. Dispute Resolution
  • "Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Qatar and to be brought before the Qatari Courts "
21. Non-Smoking Policy
  • All vehicles in our fleet adhere to a non-smoking policy in line with our commitment to the environment and the public rules of the traffic department of Qatar. A cleaning fees of QAR 1750 may be charged if a vehicle is returned in a condition where it needs to be cleaned and deodorized for violation of the above policy. In addition, QAR 3500 will be charged if there are any burn marks in the vehicle.
22. Cancellation Policy
  • Salik.qa allows you to cancel a prepaid reservation Online by the 'Modify/Cancel' reservation page or calling the Helpdesk.
  • A full refund of the prepaid reservation will be made If the cancellation is made within 7 days of the original booking Date and Reporting time; Less the fees as per the reservation amount + the Payment processing charges as per applicable.
  • Refunds will be done only through the original mode of payment. It will take up to 27 days for the refund transfer to be completed. If at the time of vehicle collection, you wish to rent a larger car or rent for a longer period, you may do so, subject to availability, on payment of additional charges.
23. Lost Rentals: Prepaid Reservations (Pay Online)
  • If you fail to cancel your reservation prior to the Pick-Up Time and do not collect the vehicle on the Pick-Up Date, we reserve the right to make a No Show/Lost Rental Charge as full rental amount.
  • No Show: If no communication has received from the renter’s end in 12hrs about any change in the reservation 100% rental will be charged.
  • We will refund your prepayment, less the No Show/Lost Rental Charge, if you write to us within 90 days of the Pick-Up Date at salik.qa Prepaid Accounting Department, info@salik.qa requesting repayment and enclosing a copy of your Reservation Confirmation.
24. Early Return
  • The payment of the rental value includes the period indicated in the contract, even if the vehicle is returned before the end of the contract period by the Hirer.
  • In case of car is under the long or short rental / lease and is early returned a base 1-month regular rate will be applicable for the used duration and the rates difference will be charged.
25. Late Return Charge
  • We reserve the right to make a Late Return Charge of a min of 1 day rental + QR 250 admin fees will be charged to compensate us in part for the costs we incur in finding an alternative vehicle to satisfy our next booking for your vehicle and for our administration costs in contacting you to return the vehicle.
26. Refund
  • All refund claims need to be processed via pre approval from the company. All the details ie. E-ticket, Reservation Copy etc. for the refund needs to be mailed to ......@salik.qa.
  • All refunds will be processed to clients / Person who made the reservation to the respective card only. All Claims and refund request needs to be processed with 60 days from the date of reservation or payments made.
  • All deposit refunds will be processed within 30 business working days and upon receiving total clearance from the Authority in regards to any traffic fines or Toll Fee (If Applicable). It will take up to 45 days for the refund transfer to be completed.
27. Indemnification
  • Without limiting the generality or effect of other provisions of this Agreement, you agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend us, our affiliates, licensees, subcontractors, and agents, and each of our or their officers, directors, and employees, from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees), or other expenses that arise directly or indirectly out of or from your breach or alleged breach of this Agreement/any clause or part;
28. Conflicts
  • In the event a conflict arises between any information posted on these Terms and Conditions and/or any contract you have with us, the terms of your contract with us will prevail over this Agreement and the information posted on this website, and These Terms and Conditions will prevail over information posted on this website and any provisions not mentioned in your contract with us.
  • The Terms and Conditions related to the consumer protection are subject to Law No. 8 of 2008 regarding consumer protection, unless there is any other amendment to such law.

At Salik Application, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our App users. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by Salik Application and how we use it.

Note: Customer must pay for traffic violation & points on the car during the rented period, which should be settle not exceeding two days, or if it was removed by Salik Rent Car, customer will be charged QAR 350 per points to remove points of the car in addition to traffic violation charges.
